This is Shaifah, a girl from a thought-extinct race who has very feral tendancies and gets along better with animals than the few humans whose presence she tolerates. The sea-nymfs she dwells with aren't quick enough on land to catch her stealing off into the wild, so they send this newcomer to the region after her- La'k-Hiid of the Jackal people.
